5 simple mind-calming and meditation tips for the beginner

1. Find a quiet place 

To sit or lay down comfortably

2. Close your eyes 

To eliminate distractions from your sight

3.  Breathing with sound

Take 3 slow, long and deep breaths. Inhale through the nose, create sound with the air traveling through your nostrils. Exhale through the mouth, open your throat and create a sound just like "the calm ocean waves".

4. Normal Natural Breathing

Continue with normal, natural breathing, through your nostrils, with your mouth closed.

5. Physical relaxation

Focus on any part of your body that feels tense. Imagine you breathe in air to that particular tense area... and then breathe out all the tension. Allow yourself to continue to do this until you feel total relaxation and calm.
